This week three days after Christmas I celebrated my 25th birthday. Most years I just let my birthday come and pass without celebrating much or going out because of the time frame between my birthday and New Year’s. But this year at the last minute I decided that I had to do something. I woke up on the day of my birthday and spent a few minutes in front of my vision board just reflecting about this past year and everything that has happened.
I seldom give myself a pat on the back, but I had to take a serious look at the board and recognized that I accomplished a lot in 2010! I ran my first half marathon, -heck I ran my first race EVER, quit my job then I got a raise, I asked for things I wanted and sometimes I heard no, but sometimes I heard yes! I got back into the blogging world, won an iPad, saved a lot of money, had my first solo speaking engagement, made tons of new connections and reconnected with old friends.
I invited some family and friends to join me for dinner and drinks at No Mas. I love the atmosphere there and the margaritas. Old friends, new friends and family came together just for me. I couldn’t help but feel overwhelmed with gratitude. I feel like I’m living my best life in this moment and I can’t wait for more birthdays, learning experiences and new things in 2011 and beyond. Here are some photos from the evening:

You look gorgeous! And I know you felt so special having all those friends/family gather for your day. Hate I missed it! Happy Birthday again 🙂
I think I’m going to do one more thing just because a few important people missed my celebration 🙂 Thanks for thinking of me!
