I love tea! Not sure how this happened because as a kid I hated iced tea. I’d avoid drinking it at all costs! I didn’t like how it was overly sweetened. It just didn’t work for me. But somehow, someway, I started to enjoy tea. Not southern style sweet tea. I drank Sprite everyday for the longest. By the end of middle school, the side effects of soda took a terrible toll on my skin! So one year for lent I gave soda up and never looked back. In college I really embraced tea. I started with green tea then evolved from there trying Oolong and black teas out of the box and moving to loose leaf from Teavana. The benefits of drinking tea are numerous. For me, it has helped relieve allergies, brightened my skin and occasionally keeps me away from colds and flus.

My coworker let me borrow this great book about teas that I’m reading now. It talks about the fermenting process and the foundation of all teas. Plus, it mentions tons of different tea types that I haven’t tried yet and the changes that the teas can help you achieve. I highly recommend it:

This past December at lavish! I got the chance to taste bottled tea. This was a new experience. I was used to trying loose leaf or bag tea. But then I learned about a brand new tea called Sokenbicha.

They have five unique tea flavors. Two of which include Oolong tea, which I love for it’s health benefits. Sokenbicha sent me a case of each tea to drink after I was their Featured Fan on Facebook! Here are just a few things I love about Sokenbicha:

1. Bottled tea is convenient! I love being able to grab one on the way out of the door in the morning.

2. Tea is a great after workout refresher – I put bottles in my gym bag and they are a great thirst quencher

3. Sokenbicha is unsweetened – I like that sugar/honey is not added. I can add my own if needed, but I like the tea as it is!

4. Variety of flavors – I like that there are a variety of flavors. My favorite are the two that feature Oolong: Revive and Defend, The two Barley teas help me relax: Shape and Purify and the Green Tea: Purify is goes great with lunch

If you like tea, or are just warming up to it, definitely try Sokenbicha. Tastes great and is good for you too! And if you don’t get the chance to try Sokenbicha, at least expand your taste buds to different flavors and types of tea for the health benefits.

*Sokenbicha sent me cases of their tea, however, all of the opinions in this post are my own!
