I found a new recipe for a great energy smoothie last week! Conveniently, I had a bag of sunflower seeds and bananas on hand to make it.

I bought a bag of sunflower seeds from Whole Foods and they make a great filling snack. Sunflower seeds are a great source of fiber, and amino acids.

For the smoothie, here’s what I put in:

1/2 cup almond milk

1/4 cup sunflower seeds

1 banana

1 scoop protein powder

It did give me a lot of energy. It smelled like almond butter to me. I guess that’s the combination of the almond milk and the sunflower seeds. If you are ever looking for a boost of energy, try it out. It does work.
