Two days after joining Tinder, I had my very first date from the app. It happened really fast. I suggested a place, he threw out a time and soon after we were setup to go out. I selected St. Cecilia’s in Buckhead because I noticed that it had just opened a few days prior to our date and the interior photos were beautiful. I didn’t manage to take any photos of the wonderful food, but If you’d like to read in more detail about my experience there here is my full Yelp review. Anyway, back to the date…I’d say it went pretty well. Since date number 1 we have been out a few more times. I’m working on focusing on the process and not the dating outcomes. Focusing on the now, not the past or later.

I can only speak from my own personal experience, but dating is so different. I’m not a huge fan of communicating through technology to get to really get to know someone. I see communication through technology as a form of work and networking. Changing that mindset will take time. I put it on my vision board for this year that I want to be more open, so I’m making time for dating on my schedule and through trying new things like Tinder.

In other news, I’m doing a 1,000 burpee challenge with Fitfluential. So far, I have completed 378. The deadline is February 28th. My arms were super sore after the first few days, but stretching and foam rolling helps!

Here’s my workout schedule for the week:

Monday: AM: yoga PM: 3 mile run and arms – 45 burpees throughout the day

Tuesday: PM: Zumba + 45 burpees for the day

Wednesday: AM: yoga PM: Body pump + 45 burpees for the day

Thursday: AM: Kettlebells + 50 burpees for the day

Friday: 50 burpees throughout the day

Saturday: Five mile run + 55 burpees for the day

What are your thoughts on dating in 2014? Do you have anything special planned for the week? Cheers to the week ahead! Make it the best.
