Happy New Year!

This is my first post for 2013 :). Over the last few weeks, I noticed a social media campaign from Outback Steakhouse happening. My family LOVES Outback. Especially my parents. The great thing is, you can go there and get something healthy or indulge in their pasta, steak, drinks and desserts. I love the baked sweet potatoes, bread, Norweigen Salmon and Hearts of Gold Mahi. Outback has a great presence on Twitter and even does promotions on Facebook and via text. Yesterday, the Outback Bowl took place in Tampa, FL.

Leading up to game day, Outback promoted the restaurant and game through a creative interactive marketing campaign. The restaurant gave the two competing teams Aussie-tizers (Outback appetizers).

Based on the outcome of the game, Outback fans received the team winners Aussie-tizer. The campaign promoted the Outback Bowl as well as the restaurant appetizers. Great cross promotion.
