Firday night was the starting night of my very first social media conference lavish! an unconference for the social networker. I took fun photos in the Halo Booth and enjoyed wine and bites sponsored by Whataretheserocks.com. All of the attendees were abuzz wondering and somewhat confused by the rocks? What are they, and why do they float? I got the opportunity to discover more about the rocks after winning a usb with some additional information about the rocks beyond the video below:
Here’s what I learned about the rocks:
What are they? Rujm el Hiri an ancient megalithic (large stone) monument made up of basalt (volcanic) rocks that are 15 feet high
Where is it? The rock formation is east of the Sea of Galilee.
Why does it exist? There are many speculations about why the megalithic monument exists. In the center there is a dolman (partial tomb) filled with jewelry and other expensive objects. Some believe that it is a burial site or worship ceremonies
What do I think? Looking at all of the information, I think that the Rujm el Hiri could have possibly been a site for all of the things mentioned and more. The Sea of Galilee is the largest freshwater lake in Israel and has been around a long time! It’s also a place where miracles have happened.
So maybe these rocks are really miracles.
What do you think these rocks are?
That is cool! Gotta research more on them myself!
Ooooh so that’s what they were.
Yes, that’s really cool! I never would have known what they were when just watching the video. But the information on the usb was very interesting.
Quite interesting. You are so smart! Happy to see you at lavish! Wasn’t it an amazing experience?
